Antisemitismus – Mülheim Diskutiert
With the terrorist attack on 7 October 2023, Hamas committed the most serious attack against Jewish life since the Shoah and, as a result, is responsible for the suffering of countless innocent civilian victims on all sides of the conflict in the Middle East. Since the attack, anti-Semitic incidents have also become more frequent in Germany.
These are verbal or physical attacks, they take place on the street, in universities or in cultural institutions - and they leave us dismayed and stunned. In order to counter these acts of aggression decisively, it is important to understand the forms and means by which anti-Semitic positions are expressed today.
The Ringlokschuppen, the Theater an der Ruhr, the Makroscope and the KGI theatre collective, all very different venues and groups in the Mülheim cultural scene, will be addressing this issue and inviting people to lectures and discussions from November 2024 to spring 2025. Each series will have its own focus and approach. Due to the relevance of the topic, we would like to bundle them together in order to bring the topic to the attention of urban society.
We invite the people of Mülheim to enter into dialogue with us and the respective guests. Admission to all events is free.
