Füreinander auf dem Spiel stehen

Walk with Klaus Herzog

A walk into the fascinating world of thought of Californian biologist Donna Haraway. On this battered planet, "we will not survive as individuals, but only in 'becoming with' other species", in an age of ongoing mutual learning. New symbioses between humans and animals are needed. With her call to "Make yourselves relatives!" we encounter spiders with their networks to the world, thread games, orchids, bacteria and viruses, octopuses, tentacular thinking, corals and their bleaching reefs, earthbound goddesses before our era, like Potnia Theron or the Medusa and her fearsome Gorgons, who are "urgently needed today". These are beguiling, dizzying edifices of thought, with a cheeky delight in bold speculations about the end of the much-vaunted "Anthropocene", science fiction in the best sense of the word.
