Musik aus der Zukunft

Eine Beuys Hommage

Maria Neumann

Joseph Beuys' idea of the "social sculpture" integrates sounds and noises, language and speech. The
artist has made himself the recipient of a music that has its origins "in the future" and no longer refers
no longer refers to any tradition. Together with ensemble member Maria Neumann, we listen to the
the music that surrounds us, the fountain of water, the lute and the birdsong - and the texts by Beuys, whose affinity with nature runs through his work.
The flautist Evelin Degen and the organist MatthiasGeuting improvise and search for a "music that has "music that has not yet been played".
