State of Euphoria (UA)

Together with the figures of the night, with whom we move on a theatrical rave through a dazzling party temple, we become the initiates of a special cult of our present: this is strange, freaky, sometimes banal and yet also mysterious and is possibly much closer to archaic mystery celebrations than it might appear at first glance, because "to rave" means to delirious, to race. At the center is a music that has been unfolding its mythical potential worldwide since the 1980s: In the world of techno, people meet in states of euphoria and exhaustion, transforming themselves willingly and in anticipation of ecstasy to driving rhythms. The cultic hustle and bustle, which unfolds station-like to lyrics and beats throughout the foyer and stage space of the Theater an der Ruhr, tells us something about our longings, which often only become visible in the dark.Are you ready to lose yourself in the State of Euphoria?
