Was ist Ich-Identität?

A search for answers from a philosophical and socio-psychological perspective
Lecture and discussion with Peter Leitzen

The ideal of the individual capable of judgment, action, cooperation and self-determination was established in Europe and America at the latest with the Enlightenment. It seems that we are all supposed to accomplish a feat in our lives: To simultaneously be like everyone else and like no one else. The path to ego identity and its assertion is accompanied by crises and conflicts. Peter Leitzen, who in his philosophical evening café at various locations in Mülheim an der Ruhr confronts elementary questions of the present with attempts at answers from philosophy and the surrounding sciences, now encourages people to think and discuss together at the Theater an der Ruhr.
