Interns (m/f/d)

Theater an der Ruhr was founded in 1980 as an alternative model, an ensemble theater of a new type. The idea of the ensemble, which includes all members of the theater, and the idea of traveling (the theater has now been to more than 50 countries and has brought artists from these countries to Europe and Mülheim) make the Theater an der Ruhr a special place for contemporary theater and contemporary art, which avoids fashionable compromises and creates open, multilingual discourse and international encounters. The Theater an der Ruhr is located in a former brine bath in Raffelbergpark on the outskirts of Mülheim an der Ruhr. It still works with flat hierarchies. The idea of the collective and independent work are important foundations of the cooperation.

For the 2022/2023 season, we are looking for committed interns who would like to gain insight into the work processes and activities of a theater. Under the guidance of the assistant directors, you can actively participate in the artistic development processes as well as in the team and accompany the rehearsal process until the premiere. Your core tasks will include the preparation and follow-up of rehearsals as well as supporting the director/dramaturge during rehearsals.

The internship is limited in time and not bound to a production. The period of time can be arranged individually. Theatrical experience is desirable.

Are you interested? Then please send your complete application (cover letter, CV) summarized in a PDF document by e-mail to adem.koestereli [at] theater-an-der-ruhr.de.

Theater an der Ruhr welcomes applications from persons regardless of their gender, ethnic, cultural or social origin, age, religion, world view, disability or sexual identity.
